Giving Thanks

Yes, this is that sort of blog. I will be telling you all what I am thankful for. It just has to be that way :)

So tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Everytime it comes around I find that I am way more excited to get past it so we can move onto Christmas (my personal fave), but I never know why. Thanksgiving is SUCH a great reminder that we need to realized how blessed we really are. I know that I need that reminder. It is easy to take life for granted. Plus, there is TONS of food. And really, who doesn't love food?!

As I think about what I'm thankful, I find that the list gets longer and longer, but here are just a few things:

1) First, my family. As I go through life and I change and realize that I am different from a lot of my family, I find that I love how supportive my parents are and how they are always proud of me. I love that even if we dissagree, we will always talk about things and at least listen to eachother. I am also very thankful for my brother. I tell you people, that guy will do incredible things. He is smart, independent and respectful. I have truly enjoyed watching him grow up into a wonderful young man. :)

2) Friends. These people are my second family. These include my camp friends who are always considered family in my book. Everyone within this category keeps my sane and I love them all so very much. I am so blessed to know so many incredible people who do great things in the world.

3) Jesus. I love my relationship with Christ. I wouldn't be who I am without it. I love everything I have learned from Jesus and I love that He died for me.

4) Knowledge. This year I've realized how imporant education and knowledge is. Because if it, I become less ignorant and know much more about the world. I've gained a deeper appreciation and love for other religions, countries and cultures. I love diversity and I think knowledge has a lot to do with it.

5) The mountains. This summer changed my life. Christikon and being in the mountains was the best experience of my life so far. It challenged me and make me see God in a different way-through nature. Plus, the mountains just do something to you.

Well, there are many more things, but I won't keep boring you with things about me.
What are YOU thankful for? What blessings do you see in your life?

Have such a Happy Thanksgiving :) I hope you get to spend time with someone you love and some time to relax as well.
